Pathfinders.

Giving tours truly changes lives. The Pathfinder organization is one that has developed my public speaking and networking skills in a way that pushes me out of my comfort zone.

Each year, tour guides are expected to give weekly tours, work admissions programs, accepted students days, conduct city bus tours, and attend college fairs.

On average, the University of Pittsburgh welcomes over 80,000 visitors each year. Students are able to take Heart of Campus tours, explore Pitt’s classrooms, and meet with advisors. Some events required Pathfinder tour guides to speech to auditoriums of 800+ prospective students.

My favorite part was setting off the confetti cannon for the students who committed to Pitt the day of their visit!

    THE BEGINNING

This picture marked my first milestone of giving over 25 tours.

  • Admitted Students Day

    CELEBRATION TIME

A student who had taken a campus tour with me had come back for admitted students day and committed to Pitt! It’s so amazing to be someone else’s ‘why’ for choosing their dream school.

    SUMMER OF TOURS

My first-year summer, I spent time on-campus learning about Pitt and sharing my story. Each day I gave 2+ tours and worked with the Recruitment and Hiring Team.
